Yes, there can be a lot of flexibility in this model. Unless we can connect what’s in the formulas with things we know about (whether in number theory or economics) it’ll usually be difficult to conclude much from them. But one can’t have a truly “model-less model”. It’s a bit like with proof steps and so on. So might AI change that?
