I experienced collaborations between biology, engineering and social sciences with a playful attitude. My proudest career achievement has been obtaining a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship from the European Commission. My PhD in computational and neural systems was a formational time.

Most of our existing intuition about “machinery” and “automation” comes from a kind of “clockwork” view of engineering—in which we specifically build systems component by component to achieve objectives we want.
