To celebrate and acknowledge all the hard work and dedication teachers pour into our students both in and out of the classroom, we held a special giveaway just for them during Teacher Appreciation Week in May of 2020.

I’ve been in awesome profession for almost 15 years and wouldn’t change it for nothing. I love being apart of a great team of staff and students that keeps me RJ Wilson energized.

I nominate my wife Shawna Warren. She is an 8th grade ESE teacher at Sebring Middle School in Sebring FL. She has always amazed me but watching her work from home as blown me away – she makes me tired by watching. She daily makes videos to send to students for extra support, making sure each individual need is meet. She attends live sessions with general ed teachers to take notes to better assist her kids and fills in for those gen ed teachers when they can’t be on live sessions. I’ve seen her enter a session to take notes and then when the gen ed teacher couldn’t get on just pick up and run with it. She calls, texts, and emails all hours of the day to ensure she is contact with her students and their families. Additionally she organized a virtual orientation for incoming 6th graders – she didn’t want them to miss the experience of getting to tour their new school, meet the teachers, and speak to students about classes, activities, and clubs. She has solicited donations to give away to teachers in the district for teacher appreciation week and she still manages to make dinner and care for our son. Her big heart, dedication, and enthusiasm blows me away.
