The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently called for applications from young individuals to join its inaugural National Environmental Youth Advisory Council (NEYAC). The initiative aims to engage and empower the younger generation in shaping environmental policies and actions. The selected youth members will work closely with the EPA to provide insights, perspectives, and recommendations on environmental issues, fostering dialogue and collaboration between the agency and young voices. The council’s formation represents a significant step in promoting youth involvement in environmental decision-making and amplifying their role in building a sustainable future. Applications to the NEYAC are due by August 22, 2023 at 11:59PM ET. To apply for appointment to the council, the following information is required:

  • Contact information 
  • Resume OR short biography OR qualification essay 
  • Statement of interest 
  • Media Project
