We love nothing more than to hear back from our amazing All About STEM Competition entrants, especially those with ingenious ideas! Our competition is all about solving real-world problems with creative solutions and our 2023 Junior Winner did just that. In fact, when it came to innovation and creativity he went above and beyond!

“I really enjoyed taking part in The All About STEM Competition 2023. I had a fantastic day, it was a pleasure to be involved and I still can’t believe my design won.
The inspiration for my design, B.I.N.S (which stands for Blasting Indisposable Neutralising Station), stemmed from being sick and tired of people littering and putting things in the wrong bin. I decided that I wanted to come up with a fun contraption that could help people out.
I was really surprised to win the competition here at Rainford, never mind overall as the competition was so strong. I’m really proud of what I have achieved. You never expect to win a competition this big and I can’t wait to see what the competition looks like this year”.
