STEM Ambassadors: National Schools’ Observatory supports One Million Interactions

On the 19th of December 2022, the National Schools’ Observatory and Astrophysicists from Liverpool John Moores University broadcast their third festive space-themed event for children aged 7 – 11.

The Merseyside and Cheshire STEM Ambassador Hub supported school recruitment for this session and over 13,000 pupils joined STEM Ambassadors who are part of the One Million Interactions STEM Ambassador scheme and other NSO staff, to discover fun facts, and experience exciting demonstrations about habitability across the Solar System.

The activities showcased how there is ‘Snow Place Like Home’ on our unique but fragile planet.

If you missed the session, the National Schools’ Observatory is still offering its ‘Life on Earth’ activity pack online with a ‘Design a Planet’ extension sheet. It is a fantastic download for parents, teachers or One Million Interactions STEM Ambassadors.

We’ll be sharing more STEMsational resources from the National Schools’ Observatory soon!
