Employers & Academic Institutions: Host a Research Placement or Experience

You can inspire your future workforce or the next generation of STEM experts by hosting a Research Placement or Experience!

All About STEM is your Research Placement and Experience Coordinator for the North West, covering Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

Our role is to recruit and support businesses, academic institutions and other relevant stakeholders to host Y12 students to undertake Research Placements or Experiences and work with successful student applicants and their teachers to ensure the very best experience for all involved.

The Research and Experience Placement Programme (formerly known as Nuffield Placements) has been around for more than 25 years and is managed nationally by STEM Learning. The programme allows students to make a meaningful contribution towards the work of a host organisation.

Do you have a suitable research project or experience for a Year 12 learner?
Students are bright, capable, and can complete a variety of tasks including data analysis, scoping, and experimental design.

Yes, I want to get involved!
