ESERO Primary: EUCLID Space Telescope Mission

ESERO UK has just released a set of teaching resources for primary school children linked to the European Space Agency EUCLID Mission. These curriculum-linked resources are based on the exciting real-life launch of the Euclid Space Telescope. Through simple models and hands-on activities, the children are introduced to the work of space scientists seeking to discover more about our universe and its mysteries.

How much do you know about the dark universe, dark energy and dark matter?
Did you know we can see distant galaxies through bouncing light?

Make a constellation viewer, model the expansion of the universe, investigate how galaxies can be magnifying lenses, experiment with UV colour-changing beads and more!

Euclid is a new space telescope launched by the European Space Agency in 2023. Euclid will follow the Earth’s orbit around the Sun to observe the brightness, colours and patterns of more than a billion distant galaxies. Euclid has two cameras on board that have never been used in space, one can capture light blocked by the Earth’s atmosphere.
