To celebrate his return to the US, we are taking a 3,700+ mile road trip across the country, from California to Maryland with a stop over to see my daughter, also in Maryland. We have a lot of sights to see, at the top of the list SpaceX’s center in Bolsa Chica Texas and Florida.

—Houston, Texas With today’s ever-increasing use of technology, we can see 3D models through a simple flat computer screen. LIDAR systems can help us observe objects or areas in more detail. LIDAR stands for Light Detection and Ranging. It uses light in the form of a rapidly pulsing laser to measure distances from a relative point. A vertically tilted mirror spins to reflect the laser at a rapid rate in a horizontal 360-degree motion in order to scan the surroundings and obtain different angles.

Nowadays, I don't even return graded tests; rather, I give each student a blank copy of the test, along with notation about which questions they didn't earn full credit on. They can see the original graded test (and their grade) only after getting all corrections checked off.
