Total cost of 5 pens, 4 books and 3 bags :

= 5(2.50) + 4(22.50) + 3(36.80)

= 12.50 + 90 + 110.40

= $212.90

5. Answer :

Area of a rectangle = length x width

Length = 6.4 cm. and width = 4.7 cm.

= 6.4 x 4.7

= 30.08

Area of the rectangle is 30.08 cm2.

6. Answer :

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + width)

Length = 4.75 cm. and width = 3.5 cm.

= 2(4.75 + 3.50)

= 2(8.25)

= 16.5

Perimeter of the rectangle is 16.5 cm.

7. Answer :

Number of miles Angelina can travel in her car with 2.5 gallons of gasoline :

= 2.5 x 25.5

= 89.25

8. Answer :

Price of the camera after 12% off :

= (100 - 12)% of 425

= 88% of 425

= 0.88 x 425

= $374

9. Answer :

Discount price of the shirt :

= 12.50 + 16.50

= $29

15. Answer :

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

Substitute π ≈ 3.14 and r = 3.5.

 2(3.14)(3.5)

= 21.98

Distance covered in 1 round of walk  21.98 yards

Distance covered in 3 round of walks :

= 3 x 21.98
