SplashLearn is a wonderful, super easy-to-use, free all-in-one online Math platform for grades K-5. SplashLearn is an ideal learning tool to use for teachers and parents because of the educational portal. This portal/dashboard allows educators/parents to create and manage student accounts, track/manage progress, generate detailed reports that can emailed, and even set daily schedules.

No Code Chart is a nice easy site to use for creating beautiful interactive charts and graphs. This is a great way for users to create a wide variety of charts and plot data and then export to their site. Below is a brief demo. I highly recommend checking out No Code Chart by clicking here !!! It's great for new readers, language learner (not just English language learners) and anyone with learning differences such a dyslexia. The best thing is that it works in so many programs!

Based on current research , effective science instruction looks a bit different than what I often did as a teacher. In fact, there is more to it than having students engage in the three dimensions of the Wisconsin Standards for Science (or NGSS). Students must do more than go through a series of activities or labs (whether in person or virtually) to learn concepts.

Buncee one of my all time favorite web 2.0 sites for classrooms, has just released a bunch of lessons/templates/ideas for how to use Buncee for the holidays. This is a great easy-to-use learning tool for creating beautiful looking presentations, stories, posters, eCards, and more. Finally, educators are using this to "flip" their classroom, for project based learning, digital storytelling, finding ideas ( Ideas Lab ) and much much more.

Pretend play is a pedagogical tool that can be used to stimulate a child's socio-emotional competences. A curriculum based on this approach has been introduced in classes of pupils aged five and six. The study evaluating the effects of the programme shows that pupils who followed the curriculum increased their emotional recognition capacities and emotional lexicon compared to a control group.
