Unit rate is the cost of 1 lb. of pet food.

20 lbs. ----> $14.98

Therefore, unit rate is $0.75.

2. Answer :

1 day ----> 200 bicycles

7(1 day) ----> 7(200 bicycles)

7 days or 1 week ----> 1400 bicycles

Number of weeks taken to produce 5600 bicycles :

3. Answer :

20 miles ----> 3 hours

20 miles ----> 3(1 hour)

20 miles ----> 3(60 minutes)

20 miles ----> 180 minutes

Time taken to run 5 miles :

= 5 ⋅ 9 minutes

= 45 minutes

4. Answer :

Peter always keeps the 6 rooms in his house clean. If it takes him 15 minutes to clean each room, how many hours will it take him to clean all 6 rooms?

1 room ----> 15 minutes

Time taken to clean 6 rooms :

= 6 ⋅ 15 minutes

= 90 minutes

Kiran can type 400 words per hour. How many minutes will it take him to type a report with 2,000 words?

1 hour ----> 400 words

Time taken to type 2000 words :

= 5 hours

When Sarah works for 4 hours, she takes two breaks of 15 minutes each. If Sarah had worked 15 hours yesterday, how many minutes in breaks did I take?

4 hours of work ----> Two breaks of 15 minutes each

4 hours of work ----> 2(15 minutes) break

4 hours of work ----> 30 minutes break

Number of minutes of break required for 12 hours of work :

= 12 ⋅ 7.5 minutes

= 90 minutes

7. Answer :

It takes Alex 12 minutes to swim 4 laps. How many hours will it take him to swim 50 laps?

4 laps ----> 12 minutes

Time taken to swim 50 laps :

= 50 ⋅ 3 minutes

= 150 minutes

= 2 hours 30 minutes

= 2.5 hours

8. Answer :
