Let Teachers Shine Funding Competition
Excerpt: Passionate teachers with new ideas to improve the attainment of disadvantaged children can now apply for the Let Teachers SHINE funding competition.
The contest, which is run annually by education charity SHINE, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
Teachers can apply for grants of up to £25,000 over two years to develop projects with the potential to help disadvantaged children in the North of England succeed in English, maths, or science. Applications close on January 16, 2023.
Previous successes have included Times Tables Rock Stars and Hegarty Maths, which were both supported by Let Teachers SHINE in their early days and now help millions of schoolchildren across the UK and worldwide.
All About STEM is making it happen across the North West. We work on lots of different projects to bring exciting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to schools across the region, linking them with business and industry expert volunteers inspiring the next generation of STEM specialists.
