1. Create a Device to Keep the Itsy Bitsy Spider Safe from the Rain

In this STEM challenge inspired by the classic nursery rhyme "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," students will embark on a creative engineering journey to design and build a shelter to keep the itsy bitsy spider safe from the rain. This hands-on activity integrates elements of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) while encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

2. Build a Fence to Help Contain Little Bo Peep’s Sheep

In this STEM challenge inspired by the beloved nursery rhyme "Little Bo Peep," students will embark on a creative engineering adventure to design and build a device or structure to help Little Bo Peep contain her wandering sheep.

In order to complete this challenge students can use any nonconsumable building materials such as KEVA Planks. For more of a challenge students can use popsicle sticks and clothespins.

3. Engineer a Device to Help the Cow from Hey Diddle Diddle Jump Over the Moon

In this imaginative STEM challenge inspired by the whimsical nursery rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle," students will embark on an engineering journey to design and build a device that enables the cow to jump over the moon. This hands-on activity integrates elements of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

4. Build a Wall that is Safe for Humpty Dumpty to Sit on

In this engaging STEM challenge inspired by the classic nursery rhyme "Humpty Dumpty," students will embark on an engineering endeavor to design and construct a wall that is safe for Humpty Dumpty (a plastic egg) to sit on.

In order to construct the wall students can use KEVA Planks, dominoes, or any other nonconsumable building materials that you have on hand.

5. Create a Gate for the 5 Little Pumpkins

In this fun and creative STEM challenge inspired by the beloved nursery rhyme "Five Little Pumpkins," students will engage in the design and construction of a gate to keep the five little pumpkins safe and secure. Students can build their gate using KEVA Planks or any other nonconsumable building materials that you have on hand.
