NEW: The All About STEM Competition!

Update: The All About STEM Competition is now CLOSED but it will be back in 2023.
Good luck to all of our 2022 entrants!

Who knew, in March 2020, what challenges lay ahead for us as individuals, as a country and as a global community? Since then, the world, our values, the way we live, work and communicate have changed and we have all had to adapt and find new ways of doing things.

This can feel unsettling – change can be difficult to manage – but it is also an exciting opportunity to be creative, to reimagine, and to make our lives, our communities, our world, better.

What would you change? And how would you Make It Happen

Working by yourself, with your friends, youth group, STEM Club or classmates, get your thinking hats on and use your STEM skills to develop a new product, item, idea or approach which solves a problem facing our world or the people in it.

You can develop your own ideas, starting completely from scratch, letting your imagination go wild!

Or you could use one of our partner resources to stimulate your creative side.

And due to the amazing support of our Competition Sponsors, we’re also able to provide teachers with a variety of supported options to get your students involved, including training, resources, ideas and funding!

Our Competition Newsletter will have all the details. Be the first in the know! Sign up here.

You can find entry forms and all the information about the key dates, eligible age groups, judging guidelines etc on our Key Information page and there are dedicated pages for teachers and our fabulous prizes and awards!

For a bit of inspiration, why not check out our I Made it Happen’ page, where you can read about some of our STEM superstars who’ve already used their skills and ideas to help make our lives, communities or world a better place.

Good luck with your entries, we can’t wait to see your projects!

*The Competition is open to young people from the North West – Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
Closing Date Extended: Friday 8 July 2022 – 5pm
