Integrate STEM in your classroom this Thanksgiving season by challenging your students to build a Thanksgiving Table!
This STEM challenge is based on the book Our Table by Peter H. Reynolds.
Can your students build a table large enough to fit all of the family members?
Will their table be able to fit all of the food?
Material List:
Large Popsicle Sticks
Binder Clips
Snap/Linking Cubes or Dominoes
Scissors

In the story, Our Table, Violet has lots of fond memories eating meals at the table with her family. However, as time goes by her family gets busy and stops coming to the table for meals. After this happens, the table gets smaller and smaller until it vanishes.
Can your students help the family build a new table?
The table must stand on its own and all of the family members must be able to fit around it. As an added challenge, see if students can build a table large enough to fit all of the food.
