After reading Creepy Carrots! by Aaron Reynolds challenge your students to build a fence around the garden to contain the creepy carrots. For more of a challenge give students a height requirement.
After the STEM challenge is complete, have students write a narrative about what would happen if the carrots escaped using characters, setting, problem/solution, and events with a beginning, middle, and end.
