• a version of The Gingerbread Man (optional)

In the fable, The Gingerbread Man, the Gingerbread Man is outsmarted by the fox. In this fable STEM activity, students are challenged to build a boat for the Gingerbread Man to safely get across the river.

After they have completed the challenge, there is a writing extension for students to write a continuation of the story of The Gingerbread Man, where the Gingerbread Man escapes on the boat your students created.
